Here is a wonderful place just off the lake (which you can still see over the campers). The patio outside is so nice and inviting. The server recommended the Calliflower crust pizza, and it was so good. I do recommend trying it even if you are not gluten free.

Great experience. Stopped for a couple of drinks and a snack. We sat at the bar Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Walleye fingers and a basket of fries. Service was great as was the Walleye fingers, good junks of fish and great flavor, fries were crispy and hot. You get your monies worth with the mixed drinks. We would highly recommend checking this place out.

Part of me wants to keep Back to Captain's a well-kept secret, but it's simply too good not to share. This hidden gem offers an exceptional dining experience that's hard to match. We started with their incredible Breakfast Skillet. Packed with perfectly cooked hashbrowns, fresh vegetables, and your choice of meats, I got the bacon. This skillet is a hearty and delicious way to begin your morning. Each bite bursts with flavor, making it an unforgettable dish. I usually have trouble finishing my plate, but I couldn't help but eat every bite of this! My partner ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger, which is a must-try. The juicy, perfectly cooked beef patty is topped with savory mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese, all in a fresh, soft bun. It's a rich and satisfying burger that stands out from the rest. I had a bite and it was so delicious with great flavors. He got a side of fries with it as well and omgoodness, they were soooooo good!! The slight sweetness they have gave them all they needed to be an absolute delight. I could just sit and eat the fries all day long. You can't leave without trying their renowned Bloody Mary. I'm very picky about my Bloody Mary's, and this was one of the best I've had in Minnesota so far. For me, a Bloody Mary should have flavor and not just taste like watered down vodka with a hint of tomato. They nailed this mix, it has all the flavor. Crafted with just the right amount of spice, this drink pairs perfectly with any meal. Despite wanting to keep this spot low-key, Back to Captain's deserves to be celebrated. The friendly atmosphere, excellent service, and mouth-watering dishes make it a standout in Isanti. Plus, its on the lake, and that for me is just another highlight. Highly recommended!

We stopped at Back to Captain's on our way to a wedding at Erickson Farmstead. We had just enough time for a drink. The service was friendly and fast. Nice place. But the highlight of the visit was the giant pretzel. We've had a few giant pretzels before, but nothing like this. It was size of a large plate and very thick And it was super fresh, like it was just made. It was an amazing pretzel that we talked and joke about for the rest of the Minnesota trip. Do yourself a favor and make a trip to Back to Captain's and order a giant pretzel... and a cold IPA.

Way better now from the past owners for sure! Saturday breakfast was great, you certainly shouldn't leave hungry! Our waitress was super to, also she was busy counting tbe pull tab boxes and taking care of many other task! Amazing to our surprise

Great place! Wonderful owner, fabulous staff! I had so much fun. Large outdoor seating area with music. Nice menu selection with tasty food. Reasonably priced.

We had a server that it was her first day and she did great. This was my first time at this place and I hope to be back soon. A lot of good stuff on the menu. The food was great, the service was great and it’s really a fun atmosphere. (Fries are amazing!) I hope to come back in the summer when it’s in full swing as it’s an awesome layout for fun!

Last Friday turned into one of those spur-of-the-moment decisions that end up being the right one. A friend and I headed to Back to Captains, and even though I hadn’t been there since the summer, it felt like slipping right back into a good time. The weather was beautiful, so it seemed like half the local crowd had the same idea—and honestly, that just added to the fun atmosphere. The service was spot on from the start. Attentive without hovering, and our food came out hot and delicious. The drinks? Let’s just say they were the perfect finishing touch to a great night. We even got in on the horse races—didn’t win a dime, but we laughed the whole time, which counts just as much in my book. If I had one small note, it would be that the band was a little on the loud side, and during the races I noticed more than just me squinting and walking closer to the screen to see the numbers. That said, take that with a grain of salt—these eyes and ears have a few miles on them. I don’t get there often, but every time I do, I leave glad I made the choice. Back to Captains is one of those places that knows how to deliver a solid night out—good food, great service, and a lively atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

Our first visit to your establishment on June 19 and it was awesome! Our server Emma was outstanding! She was able to deal with the several jokesters we have in our crowd. And no one complained about the food, from hot roast beef sandwich to meatloaf sandwich to smothered chicken and others, everything was so delicious! We'll definitely be back!
